Greenwich High School Celebrates Signing Day for Student-Athletes

Greenwich, CT — Greenwich High School was buzzing with excitement on November 13th as fourteen student-athletes gathered in the school's Media Center for a special Signing Day ceremony. These young athletes marked a significant milestone in their lives, signing National Letters of Intent to continue their sports careers at the collegiate level. Family, friends, coaches and teachers gathered to celebrate their hard work, dedication and achievements. 

 Signing Day is a longstanding tradition that honors high school athletes who have committed to college sports programs, allowing students to formalize their commitment to universities across the country. The ceremony highlights not only their athletic capabilities but also the support they have received from their community. Greenwich High School takes pride in nurturing student-athletes who excel both on the field and in the classroom. 

 The student-athletes and the colleges they will attend are as follows: 

- Michael Brescia - Lacrosse, Loyola University Maryland 

- Henry Cullen - Crew, Yale University 

- Margaux DeFelice - Crew, Georgetown University 

- Kate Donnellan - Field Hockey, Duke University 

- Liana Hoffman - Crew, University of California, Los Angeles 

- Scarlett Hopson - Crew, University of Tennessee 

- Lauren Huang - Rugby, Brown University 

- Sophia Long - Crew, St. Mary's College of California 

- Saira Mitchell - Crew, University of California, Berkeley 

- Graydon Raabe - Crew, Cornell University 

- Aubrey Roth - Lacrosse, William & Mary 

- Cooper Sernick - Crew, Hobart and William Smith Colleges 

- Stella Thibeault - Field Hockey, Cornell University 

- Sophia Wang - Water Polo, Harvard University 

The ceremony concluded with speeches from coaches and school administrators, who praised the students’ commitment and expressed their confidence in their continued success. For these student-athletes, Signing Day was a proud moment of recognition for years of hard work and a promising beginning to an exciting new chapter. The Greenwich community is excited to cheer them on in their future collegiate endeavors!
