Happy fall! Here are some favorite farms and orchards in and around Fairfield County, CT, and Westchester County, NY, offering apple and pumpkin picking, this season. Many also include additional activities like hayrides, corn mazes, and farm markets for a day of family fun.
Apple and pumpkin picking in Fairfield County, CT
(Bethel, CT): This is a classic family-friendly spot that features apple picking, a pumpkin patch, and hayrides. The farm stand sells fresh-baked goods, including popular cider donuts.
(Easton, CT): A long-running family farm known for its fall festivities, Silverman's offers pick-your-own apples and a pumpkin patch. It also has a farm animal area and a country store with homemade goods.
(Shelton, CT): Though they no longer offer pick-your-own apples, the farm is a very popular destination for pumpkin picking at its Pumpkinseed Hill Farm location.
(Redding, CT): A quieter, more authentic farm experience with pick-your-own pumpkins and free hayrides.

Apple and pumpkin picking in Westchester County, NY
(North Salem, NY): This is a popular spot with both apple and pumpkin picking, live music, hayrides, and a farm store. Note that tickets are required on weekends and include entry to the pumpkin patch.
(North Salem, NY): A family-owned farm since the 1800s, it offers apple and pumpkin picking, a corn maze, and hayrides. The fall festival season runs from late August into November.
